Kaetlyn McCafferty is an artist based in Cleveland, Ohio. She received her BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2012, with a major in Drawing and a minor in Photography. Her current work uses drawing and watercolor to examine ordinary suburban and civic spaces as sites of maintenance, uncertainty, ritual, and quiet absurdity.
Her earlier and adjacent works drew from folklore, archives, media, and art history to explore myth-making. Across media, her practice remains rooted in observation, ambiguity, curiosity, and an interest in the symbolism that accumulates around ordinary things.
